2014 Junior Golf Program
June 8, 2014 – July 31, 2014
The Junior Golf Program at Quail Hollow is a series of lessons and tournaments designed to introduce, promote, and develop interest in the game of golf to juniors.
Who can play?
The Junior Golf Program is open to all juniors ages 7-15. Ages as of June 1st 2012 will determine the age division for each child. There will be competition for both boys and girls in each age division. Some age groups may be combined or altered due to insufficient entries or skill level. Each junior is required to have his or her own set of golf clubs.
What is the Cost?
QHCC Member Child Golf Fee: $100/junior
QHCC Member Grandchild Golf Fee: $180/junior
When are Lessons?
Lessons are held on Wednesday mornings in June/July in 1-hour sessions.
Options are 8:30am, 9:30am, or 10:30am at the north end of the driving range.
When are Tournaments?
Competition will be held on Thursdays in June/July in an 8:30am Shotgun. Competition may be re-scheduled for an alternate day depending on QHCC golf schedule. Please arrive a ½ hour before shotgun.
What to Expect from Instruction:
The lesson series will start with an overview of the basic fundamentals.
Lesson will encompass coaching on several aspects of the golf game including: chipping, pitching, putting, and full swing. The juniors will learn how to master a variety of shots. Throughout the season juniors will learn new techniques while still perfecting the basics. The goals of this program are to have fun, learn the game of golf, and be with friends. We incorporate friendly competition and prizes!
Player of the Year
Each week juniors will receive points based on performance. By the end of the season a player of the year will be determined in each age division.
Junior Club Championship
The Club Championship is a separate award. The last week all juniors will compete in their respective division for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place trophies. Presentations will be held at the banquet following the Championship competition.

Point System for player of the year:
1st place 8 pts (Gold Medal)
2nd place 6 pts (Silver Medal)
3rd place 5 pts (Bronze Medal)
4th place 4 pts
