2015 Update

Hello again!

We know it's been awhile since there's been a blog post, so here's an update on all things happening so far in 2015.

  • The golf shop is still currently going through water damage repair.  With the counter out of commission, we can currently only run member charges on items purchased in the golf shop.  The phone line for the 4000 number to the pro shop are also down, so please reach Zach or Jordan directly at 440-639-3810.  We appreciate everyone's patience with our mess.

  • Olle has officially started at his new position in Houston, Texas, and has had no problem showing off all the nice weather to the assistant golf professionals... If you're ever in the area, be sure to go bug him at Deerwood Golf Club at the Clubs of Kingwood!

  • The Member/Guest Invitational sign up has begun, and there are already over 50 teams registered!  The dates for this year's event are August 6-8 and looks to be the biggest and best yet. Be sure to sign up your team in the pro shop as the field will again be limited to 84 teams.

Stay tuned for more as we look for that white stuff to go away soon!

The Buckeyes are National Champions! Now for the Bowl Pick 'Em Results...

Congratulations to the Ohio State Buckeyes on taking home the title 2015 NCAA National Champions, the first in CFB Playoff history!  With the end of the Bowl season, the results are in for the Bowl Pick 'Em Pool.
Ohio State taking home the championship catapulted Darren Ewaska and John Longano to 27 points and a tie for the top spot.  Though both guessed on the high end for the total points tiebreaker, Darren Ewaska edged out John for the win by a mere 2 points!

Picking the Buckeyes also paid off for Chuck Langal, who jumped to 26 points and into a tie with the pre-Title game leader Kyle Trent, who, against his better judgement, picked the Ducks to win the title.  The battle for third place again went to a tiebreaker.  Chuck ended up taking home third place by guessing a nearly perfect total score of 63 points!

Congratulations to all the winners, and thanks to everyone who played.  But most importantly, congrats to the 2015 National Champion Buckeyes!!!

Final Results and Payout

1st  Darren Ewaska - $220
2nd  John Longano - $165
3rd  Chuck Langal - $110
4th  Kyle Trent - $55

Terry Smith

Seven games still remain, and if your bracket isn't going so well you can still root for those Buckeyes on January 12th!
